Take this lawn in Penarth. We originally treated it for an infestation of leatherjackets, after which it needed a bit of TLC.
We scarified it first, removing all the dead grass and thatch from on top, meaning there were fewer hiding places for the crane flies to lay their eggs.
Then we aerated it to ensure good soil drainage, meaning the soil was even less attractive to lay eggs in for the crane flies.
Following this, we gave the lawn a thorough top dressing and overseeding, and now it looks spectacular – even if we do say so ourselves.
We’ve given it one more treatment of lawn feed, and, as we think you’ll agree, it now looks great!
